Mary has had a love for cats since childhood and moving to the LN Ranch in 1977 opened the door for enjoying the felines even more. Beautiful longhaired and tricolored farm cats soon graced the farm and barns for many years before the discovery of the laperm led her into having these wonderful cats.
The laperm originated from barn cats and the LN calicos proved to be a wonderful contribution to the new breed. Some were registered and shown but most then, and all now are placed as pets. The curly coated ones are hypoallergenic to most people and less shedding - more of a partial molt once a year. The coat does not breed true so some are ordinary straight haired but the doglike personality and being of a very social nature is typical of all.
